Find A Temp
Click the Find A Temp button - this can be found on your Dashboard, Temp Jobs tab, or Professionals Tab.
You can also click on the date you need to fill directly from your bookings calendar.
Fill out the "Find A Temp" form with:
Type of Professional Needed
Payment Terms (how you'll pay the temp)
Notes
Date, Start Time, End Time, Break
Agree to the match terms, and select "View & Invite Candidates"
From there, set your filters (use advanced search) to find the best fit for your practice, and add up to 6 candidates to the booking invite.

Invite Up to 6 Professionals - Once you decide who you want to invite, click the blue "Add To Booking" button located next to the candidate.
Their photo will be added to the gallery at the top.
Once you've added all that you prefer, click "Send Requests."
Whoever accepts first gets the booking, and the other requests are automatically cancelled. (This first-come, first-served approach prevents double-booking.)
*If the send requests button is greyed out once you've made your selections, this means you have not completed the booking details. You should see a yellow banner with a link to complete these details (start time, end time, break, and match term agreement), and then have the ability to send your requests out.
Bonuses with this option:
If the professional who confirmed the booking later cancels, our system automatically re-requests the other temps you originally invited, as long as they're still available. It will also open the temp job as a public posting, if applicable (see below).
Our system automatically selects the option to also post a temporary job posting if the candidates you invited do not reply within 4 hours! *This is optional, and you can deselect it before sending the requests.
With this feature, other professionals in your area can apply directly to the job! Your office can review the applicants' profiles, reviews, proposed rate, and then accept or decline.
This is a great way to ensure your shift is filled!
Sending an Individual Request
What if I only want to request one specific professional for a temp job?
If you only want to send a request to one dental professional:
Locate the professional's profile
Advanced search by first name on the "Professionals" tab or on the Find A Temp search results page.
Temp Jobs tab > 'Closed' section (if they've worked with you in the past)
Message thread with the professional
Click on their name, which will bring up their individual schedule
Click the date you need them on their schedule
Fill out the details of the shift on the Find A Temp Form (Start time, end time, break, match terms)
Skip adding additional professionals, and send the one request.
We understand that your office may have a specific professional in mind that has worked for you in the past; however, by adding up to 6 additional professionals to a request, you greatly increase your chances of having coverage for this date. In the event the one professional you needed has to cancel, you will have to start the process all over.
If you are sending requests individually to multiple professionals, but you only need one, make sure you are manually canceling out any other pending or confirmed requests you no longer need to prevent double-booking - our system will not automatically do this for individual requests. We do not recommend this process unless you truly need more than one of the same type of professional for a specific date, or want to request only a specific professional.
Professionals Tab
You can start the booking request process from the "Professionals" tab as well! Start adding your filters here, such as Type of Professional, and use the "advanced search" filters. You'll see a professional's typical schedule on this page and an overview of their profile. If you want to see more details, just click on their name!
You can start the process of a booking request from the "Find A Temp" button, or from a specific professional's full schedule, located on their profile.
Fill out the details of the "Find A Temp" form. *Make sure these times are accurate based on your office's needs.* Then, follow steps 3-6 above!
Before you send your request, check the hourly rate. Each professional sets their own hourly rate on their profile, and what you request or accept them at will be the set rate in the booking agreement.
If you’re considering inviting a higher-rate professional and want to propose a different number, message them first to align on rate — they’ll need to update their profile or propose a booking back to you at the new rate.
About the 4-hour automatic temp job posting
If you keep the option to post the public temp job selected, when you send your request(s), a public temp job post is automatically created if your invited professional(s) don't respond within 4 hours. The job's status changes to Open to applicants, keeping your shift visible to other professionals on the platform. This works whether you've invited one professional or several.
A booking is also created automatically when you accept an applicant for a temp job posting.
Track Your Invites and Bookings
Once your request is sent, it appears as a yellow box on your calendar. When a professional accepts, it turns green. You can view and track all your bookings under the Temp Jobs tab or your bookings calendar. *Make sure your notification settings are turned on (you can even get text or app notifications for after-hours updates!)
