If you need to cancel an assignment, you can do so through the Bookings tab. The cancellation fee depends on the timing and circumstances:
Cancellations >24 Hours Before Booking or within 4 hours of Professional Accepting
If you cancel an assignment that was booked, confirmed, and canceled >24 hours before the booking or within 4 hours of the professional accepting the booking, there is no penalty.
Less Than 24 Hours' Notice
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the assignment, a fee will be charged to the office. This fee is passed on to the professional as compensation to respect the time of our professionals.
Late cancellation fees are the following:
$100/specialist
$75/hygienist
$40/dental assistant or front office staff
Late cancellation fees will be paid to the professional, PLUS a $5 Cloud Dentistry processing fee.
Professional En Route or Turned Away
If the office cancels within 60 minutes of the start of the booking or if the professional is turned away upon arrival at the office, the professional is entitled to payment for half of the booked working hours (up to a maximum of 4 hours).
While emergencies do arise, we impose financial penalties to office accounts as a way to respect the professionals since they’re counting on the income from the booking. If you have a valid reason for cancelling and can provide documentation, contact member services at service@clouddentistry.com.
For full details on cancellation fees, please refer to our Terms of Use, which provides a comprehensive breakdown of our policies.
Inclement Weather Cancellations
For bookings that are impacted due to inclement weather (force majeure), the office and professional will need to cancel the booking(s) and contact Member Services immediately via email service@clouddentistry.com or via the chat icon. Both parties will need to cite the weather as the cause for cancellation. Late cancellation fees are waived due to extreme weather events, and late cancel/no-shows are excused for the professional in regards to their profile score. Inclement weather can include snow, ice, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and other serious situations.
