Professional No Longer Needed:
If you need to send a dental professional home earlier than scheduled, here’s how it works:
Grace Hour
You can send a dental professional home up to one hour early without any penalty. In this case, you only pay for the actual time they worked. For example, if the professional was booked for 8 working hours, and only works 7, they are due payment for 7 hours.
Sending Home More Than One Hour Early
If the professional is sent home more than one hour early, you are required to pay for the full number of hours initially booked, minus the grace hour. For example, if the professional was booked for 8 working hours and worked 6, they would be due payment for 7 hours. This is 1 hour less than the 8 hours they were booked for.
This policy ensures fairness and respects the commitment dental professionals make when setting aside time specifically for your office.
Please indicate any reason for the shortened hours in the space provided on the Cloud Direct Pay timesheet if applicable.
Professional Needed to Leave Mid-Shift
If the professional has to end the day for personal reasons, guarantee payment does not apply, and they are only due payment for the actual time worked. Please indicate the reason for the shortened hours on the signed timesheet or by filing a complaint. Filing a complaint alerts our Member Services team directly and notates it on the booking internally. Complaints are only visible to the person filing the complaint and Cloud Dentistry administrators.
Disagreements in the office:
Please be aware that, even if the working conditions are not ideal, we strongly recommend completing and honoring the booking to the best of your ability. We encourage you to communicate directly with the professional about any expectations for today’s assignment, noting that the day may need to be cut short if improvements are not seen, which helps provide transparency and can be helpful in the event of disputes.
If you decide to send the professional home due to concerns on patient safety or unacceptable behavior, and your payment terms are Same Day, payment may be issued for the hours worked only, and both parties should contact Member Services directly.
You can also file a complaint directly in the booking. Filing a complaint alerts our Member Services team directly and notates it on the booking internally. Complaints are only visible to the person filing the complaint and Cloud Dentistry administrators.
