Can professionals propose bookings directly to offices?

Written by Blanca

Yes — but only while you and the professional are in an active conversation.

If you've offered work through the messaging system and the professional is interested, it's better for both sides to convert that interest into an actual booking in Cloud Dentistry. A confirmed booking creates a shared record both parties can rely on if anything changes, and it captures the details you agreed on: the rate, the scheduled hours, and how the professional will be paid. Without one, there's no documentation if the professional cancels last-minute or doesn't show up and assistance with any issues is limited.

This same flow is how a negotiated rate gets locked in. If you and a professional have agreed in messages on a rate that differs from what’s on their profile, ask them to use Propose a Booking from your message thread at the agreed-upon rate. When you accept, the booking agreement reflects that rate — no need to wait for them to edit their profile.

How a professional sends you a booking proposal

From inside your conversation, the professional sees a link to send you a booking proposal. They can:

  • Choose any open date and time range on your calendar — one that doesn't already have a confirmed booking.

  • Set the hourly rate they're proposing.

  • Send the proposal to you for review.

What happens on your end

Once the professional sends the proposal, it appears on your calendar and in your Bookings tab, where you can review the date, time, and rate. If you accept, it becomes a confirmed booking — identical to one you would have created yourself, with all the same protections and payment handling.

If the details don't quite work, message the professional to adjust them before accepting, or decline and propose alternative terms yourself.
