You are free to accept or decline any booking request that you receive, but the office is trying to fill a booking and needs to know if you can make it. If you respond to the request within 12 hours, even if you decline it, you will earn 10 points on your score. If you respond in more than 48 hours, your score will go down by 5 points. If you don’t respond at all after 48 hours, then your score will go down by 10 points.
*Declines can be frustrating for dental offices that are trying to fill a position. If you are declining due to not being available, please update your schedule. This helps offices know that you are unavailable, and can request others who are.
Some typical reasons for declines are below. Please take action if applicable to prevent further declines.
No longer available (please update your schedule)
Distance (please update your mileage radius)
This Office (please block the office)
Office Has Negative Reviews/a bad reputation
Bad Experience w/ office
Last Minute Request (update your schedule)
Not available for the times they need me
Message the office - sometimes partial coverage is better than none!
Payment Terms (Need Payment Right Away)
Try messaging the office to request an alternative option, it doesn't hurt!)
Waiting for a better offer?
Message the office to negotiate!
Other __________
As a best practice, it is recommended to communicate with the office if they have requested you, even if you are declining. This opens communication for future bookings with them and provides transparency.
