Introduction to Our New Profile Score for Professionals
When offices are searching for dental professionals using our platform, most office accounts will start with our Find Professionals tab and see professionals noted as “Recommended” at the top.
Professionals can be rewarded in the coveted Recommended section by achieving and maintaining a high Profile Score, which is visible to offices.
Their Profile Score is the primary factor in determining which professionals are recommended first. The higher the score, the more likely the professional will be at the top of the list.
Our Profile Score methodology was recently revamped and rolled out to all professionals on our platform on November 8, 2024. The article outlining the changes written specifically for professionals can be found here.
What Does Profile Score Mean for Office Accounts?
The Profile Score system for professionals was revamped based on valuable feedback provided by office managers and dentists across the country. The changes implemented for professionals directly address input from office users, requesting to focus more on the recent history of professionals and to encourage responsiveness to their messages and booking proposals. The new Profile Score system also now takes into consideration a more drastic point decrease for professionals who agreed to bookings and then canceled, late-canceled or no-showed.

Are frequently logging in to the site
Are rated highly by offices

Bookings
Bookings are scored on 2 dimensions:
Responsiveness
Booking proposals that get a response in less than 12 hours will increase the score by 10 points.
If it takes more than 48 hours for the professional to reply, their Profile Score will lose 5 points. If it’s more than 48 hours and there’s no response at all from the professional, their Profile Score will lose 10 points.
The score is based on the last 10 booking requests received that were not canceled by the office in less than 48 hours.
Performance
For every completed booking, the professional’s score will go up by 10 points.
When a professional agrees to a booking, we hold them accountable for knowing your office has declined other applicants. Therefore, if the professional accepts your booking request and then cancels, their score will go down by 10 points.
If the professional cancels within 24 hours prior to the start of a booking, we explain to them how difficult it is for your office to find a replacement, potentially losing patient revenue. In this case, the professional’s Profile Score will go down by 50 points.
We hold professionals accountable the most for a no show. If this happens, their score goes down by 100 points.
Their score is based on the last 10 booking requests that were accepted by the professional.
Login Frequency
Professionals earn 10 points for each day they have logged in within the last 10 days.
Star Ratings
Star ratings can only be awarded by offices. A 5-star is the most common, so anything less than a 5 star is considered a poor review. Here’s the breakdown of star reviews:
5 Stars | +5 Points |
4 Stars | 0 Points |
3 Stars | -5 Points |
2 Stars | -10 Points |
1 Star | -20 Points |
Star ratings consider the last 10 reviews
