New: Profile Score Improvements!

Great news - we've improved the Profile Score calculations for professionals! These revisions provide a clearer presentation of what all is factored into your profile score and allows full transparency for what factors increase, or decrease, a user's profile score.

While the new Profile Score criteria has just been published on the platform, the new criteria has been calculated for Professionals since October 17, 2024.

Take a look at the details outlined in this article for Professionals!

What is the Profile Score?

Your Profile Score is the most valuable component of your profile. Professionals with higher Profile Scores are at the top of office’s search results, positioning you above your peers. Actively manage your Profile Score to ensure you're ranking closest to the top!

Your dashboard will display breakdown of how your Profile Score is calculated, including your most recent activity.

The more active you are on the platform, the better your Profile Score will be compared to other users. In addition to daily activity, the more responsive and reliable you are for offices will add significantly to your Profile Score.

How Often Can I Check My Profile Score?

Your Profile Score is calculated once a day, or whenever you click ‘re-calculate,’ reflecting your activity and reliability on Cloud Dentistry, including experiences with offices. Higher scores improve your position in search results, making you more visible to offices.

What's New in the Profile Score for Professionals?

Profile Scores are calculated by three important categories:

  • Profile completeness

  • Certifications

  • Interactivity

Profile Completeness - It's important for offices to see a completed profile to "prove" you're you! Profiles without profile pictures, background descriptions, or other critical details aren't appealing to offices when they're looking for the best professional for their needs. Your Profile Score can be increased by ensuring you have a fully completed profile, including adding a background check (+50 points) and profile photo (+25 points).

Certifications - Add credibility - and Profile Score points! - to your profile with any certifications from state boards or other recognized training organizations. Professionals will receive points for each verified certification. Examples of certifications include: BLS CPR, Infection Control, Laser, CDIPC, ACLS, N20 Administration, IV, HIPAA, OSHA, and more.

Interactivity - The most important component to your profile score - your responsiveness and booking experience with offices!

When an office sends you a request for a booking, it's important to respond, even if you're not accepting the request. If you respond to the office within 12 hours - either by accepting or declining - you'll increase your Profile Score by 10 points.

If it takes you more than 48 hours to reply - again either by accepting or declining the booking request - your Profile Score will be subtracted 5 points. If it's more than 48 hours and there's no response at all - your Profile Score will be subtracted 10 points.

The improved Profile Score calculation also takes into consideration professionals' ratings after a booking and log in frequency.

  • For every 5 star review a professional receives after their booking, they'll receive +5 profile points

  • Professionals can earn +10 points for each consecutive day they've logged into the platform, unless you skip two (2) days.

How Can I Improve My Profile Score?

First, start by taking a look at what your current Profile Score is on your profile - you will see your profile score on your dashboard, with a link to view in more detail.

Once you click on Your Profile Score, you'll see a transparent breakdown of your Profile Score and how it's been calculated. You can immediately identify if you can add to your Profile Score by completing tasks in Profile Completeness, Certifications, and Interactivity, which will be listed to your current status.

Once you make updates to your Profile Score, you can click "re-calculate" to see an immediate score.

While all three components of your Profile Score are important - Profile Completeness, Certifications, and Interactivity - you'll notice the most points are available through Interactivity.

What are the Most Important Components of My Profile Score?

While all components of your Profile Score are important to monitor daily, professionals can gain (or lose) the most profile points in the following areas:

Interactivity

Bookings Score

Offices want to ensure the professionals they're contacting for bookings are responsive - even if you do not accept the booking request.

When an office sends a booking requests, professionals should respond to the office within 12 hours in order to receive the highest points for their Profile Score, even if you do not accept the booking. Replying to the office even if you're not accepting is critical to your Profile Score - not responding/ghosting will decrease your score!

To ensure you're seeing all booking requests/messages within a 12 hour response window, be sure to download our widget to your mobile device!

Completed Bookings and Cancelations/No Shows

In addition to responsiveness, once a booking is agreed upon between the professional and the office, attendance and promptness are critical for Profile Score.

When you agree to a booking, the office will cancel the request to other professionals and decline any other applicants. If you cancel, the office has to start the process all over again. So if you cancel, your score will go down by 10 points.

Canceling within 24 hours prior to the start of a booking is particularly hard on the office, so your score will go down by 50 points when you cancel within 24 hours.

The worst of all is to no-show. Patients may be waiting for you and not showing up makes the office look bad and lose money. When this happens, your score goes down by 100 points.

For every completed booking, your score will go up by 10 points.

Check your notification settings to make sure you're not missing messages or booking requests! To do this, click the right menu and select Notification Settings. Make sure you have your email and text notifications turned ON.

Daily Logins

Offices want to know you are actively using Cloud Dentistry. Checking your account daily, even if you don't have new messages or booking requests, demonstrates you're ready to respond.

To reward you for logging into the platform daily, you'll earn 10 points for every day that you've logged in over the past 10 days, totaling to a max 100 point boost to your Profile Score.

This is a one-time boost of +100 points after 10 consecutive days of logging in.

Star Ratings

Star ratings can only be awarded by offices. A 5-star is the most common, so anything less than a 5 star is considered a poor review. Here’s the breakdown of star reviews:

Certifications

Add credibility to your profile with certifications from state boards or other recognized training organizations. Professionals will receive points for each verified certification. Profile Score points will be rewarded based on the value of the certificate (listed below); the Professional Engagement team reviews all certifications during regular business hours and if the certification cannot be verified, the allocated points will be deducted from the Profile Score.
