How to Cancel
If you are unable to attend a confirmed booking request, we ask that you cancel the assignment ASAP via the Cloud Dentistry platform. If you arrive at the office and leave before starting the assignment, it will be documented as a no-show. If you leave the office within 1 hour of arriving at the assignment, it will be documented as a no - show. It is a requirement that you cancel through the platform.
Cancel the booking by following these simple steps:
Go to your "bookings" tab and clicking the red "cancel" button next to the booking you cannot attend.
Any cancellation of a confirmed booking will result in points deducted from your Profile Score.
You will be prompted to provide a reason for the cancellation to share with the office.
Keep in mind that offices will have the ability to leave a review, so be sure to provide a detailed reason for the late cancellation.
Failure to cancel the booking through the platform could result in the assignment being marked as a "no-show".
If the cancellation of the assignment is 1 hour or less from the start time, this will be recorded as a "no-show".
Documentation Required for Late Cancellations and No-Shows
If the cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours notice (late cancellation) or a no-show is recorded, dated documentation of an emergency is required to "excuse" the assignment status. See the list below for documentation requirements:
Acceptable Documentation Includes:
Hospital / Dr Office letter with date and time stamp
Pharmacy Receipts

Impacts of Cancellations and No-Shows to Profile Score without an Approved Excused Status
In addition to responsiveness, once a booking is agreed upon between the professional and the office, attendance and promptness are critical for Profile Score.
When you agree to a booking, the office will cancel the request to other professionals and decline any other applicants. If you cancel, the office has to start the process all over again. So if you cancel, your score will go down by 10 points.
Canceling within 24 hours prior to the start of a booking is particularly hard on the office, so your score will go down by 50 points when you cancel within 24 hours.
The worst of all is a no-show. Patients may be waiting for you and not showing up makes the office look bad and lose money. When this happens, your score goes down by 100 points.
For every completed booking, your score will go up by 10 points.
Inclement Weather Cancellations
For bookings that are impacted due to inclement weather (force majeure), the office and professional will need to cancel the booking(s) and contact Member Services immediately via email service@clouddentistry.com or via the chat icon. Both parties will need to cite the weather as the cause for cancellation. Late cancellation fees are waived due to extreme weather events, and late cancel/no-shows are excused for the professional in regards to their profile score. Inclement weather can include snow, ice, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and other serious situations.
