Yes - All hygienists, dentists, and specialists are required to have an active license in order to use our platform. All registered users who select that they are a hygienist, dentist, or specialist are verified by our Professional Engagement team to ensure they have an active dental license in their specified state(s).These specialties must have an active (not expired) license in their state without any disciplinary actions related to theft, fraud, drug use, DUI/DWI, or violence. Upon verifying their license, and additional profile criteria required by specialty, the professional is approved to use our platform.

In addition to licensure verification for RDHs, DDS, and specialists, we also verify certifications that are uploaded to any professional's profile (ex: CDA, EFDA/EDDA, CPR, etc). Each professional's profile clearly displays the state licenses that have been verified, with an illustrative example provided below for your convenience.If a professional identifies as a registered dental assistant (RDA) and provides the appropriate state documentation, our team will review and verify their status as an RDA when applicable.
