Each professional profile is reviewed by a member of our team prior to their account going “live” on the site. Initial verification confirms that the user's listed email address and phone number are accurate.

Additional verification includes:

  • Dental licensure, if applicable: We verify each professional’s state dental license (when applicable), including noting the expiration date, and following up with the professional upon expiration.

    • Dental licenses are also verified to be in “Active” status by the state, ensuring the professional is not in a disciplinary status

    • Licensed professionals with disciplinary actions in the following categories are NOT approved to use our platform: drug abuse, fraud, physical abuse/injury, and/or DUI/DWI in the last 12 months

    • Specialties that require dental license verification include hygienists, dentists, and specialists.

      • If a professional selects they’re a registered dental assistant (RDA) and provides proper state documentation, our team will review and verify for RDAs when applicable. When you spot 'RDA' on a professional's profile, it signifies that their Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license has been verified on the corresponding state dental board website.

      • Dental assistants (DA) in the state of Massachusetts are required to provide a valid dental assisting license to be verified by the Cloud Dentistry team before applying for jobs.

  • Certifications: For any certifications a professional has listed on their profile, our Professional Engagement team will confirm the certifier. Examples of certifications include: BLS CPR, Infection Control, Laser, CDIPC, ACLS, N20 Administration, IV, HIPAA, OSHA, local anesthesia, and more.

    • Skills listed by a professional are self-reported and not independently verified. If your office requires specific competencies (such as X-rays, nitrous oxide monitoring, etc.), it is best practice to confirm that the dental professional holds the appropriate license or certification to validate their qualifications, which will be listed on the professional's profile if our team has verified these credentials.

  • Photo Identification: In lieu of dental licensures unavailable for front desk staff and dental assistants, these specialities are required to provide a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID, passport). Photo IDs aren’t visible to office profiles to protect the professional’s information.

  • Background Checks: Cloud Dentistry now requires all approved users to complete a background check. All specialties, including hygienists, assistants, front office staff, dentists, and specialists, must successfully pass a clear screening each year. This additional identity verification step helps ensure that qualified, trustworthy dental professionals are entering your office.
