How do I create a booking request?

How an Office Creates a Booking Request

Written by Cloud Dentistry

To create a booking, go to your dashboard and click the date on the calendar when you need a temp — or open the Find Professionals tab. From there, set your filters (professional type, start time, end time) to see everyone available for that day and time.

Send a booking request

When you find a professional you'd like to book:

  1. Click the day you want on their calendar (next to their profile). Available times appear in blue.

  2. Enter the booking details — start and end times, lunch break (if any), and any notes for the day.

  3. Agree to the match terms.

  4. Choose how to send your request. At the bottom of the form you'll see two options:

    • Send 1 Request — sends to this professional only.

    • Add More Professionals — sends to up to 6 professionals at once. Whoever accepts first gets the booking, and the other requests are automatically cancelled. (This first-come, first-served approach prevents double-booking.)

      • If the professional who confirmed the booking later cancels, our system automatically re-requests the other temps you originally invited, as long as they're still available.

Track your booking

Once your request is sent, it appears as a yellow box on your calendar. When a professional accepts, it turns green. You can view and track all your bookings under the Temp Jobs tab or your bookings calendar.

For more on what each color means, see What do the different colors on the bookings calendar mean?.

About the 4-hour automatic temp job posting

If you check the auto-post option when you send your request, a public temp job post is automatically created if your invited professional(s) don't respond within 4 hours. The job's status changes to Open to applicants, keeping your shift visible to other professionals on the platform. This works whether you've invited one professional or several.

A booking is also created automatically when you accept an applicant to a temp job posting.
