Cloud Dentistry will now require all approved users to complete a background check and provide a photo ID to their account. All specialities - hygienists, assistants, front office, dentists, and specialists - will be required to add both attributes to their profile.

To support our mission in connecting dental professionals with offices looking to hire, a background check and photo ID confirm your identity while providing offices assurance in their hiring practices.

To support this change, Cloud Dentistry has now provided all professionals with free background checks.

Will my photo ID be visible to offices on my profile?
No. Your photo ID will only be visible to Cloud Dentistry professionals to verify your identity to ensure your account is valid and not a duplicate user.
Photo IDs are not visible to offices. Photo IDs are only used to validate your identity on the platform.
What if my photo ID is expired?
As long as your photo ID is a valid document and matches your first and last name provided, it does not need to be active as it’s only to verify your identity.
What forms of photo IDs are acceptable?
You can upload a driver’s license, state identification card, military ID, US green card, or passport.
What if my name on my photo ID does not match my Cloud Dentistry account name?
We understand last names can change throughout a professional’s experience - if your name does not match your photo ID, our team will ask users to provide documentation of their name change - for example: marriage license, divorce decree, or a court-ordered name change order. These documents will not be visible to offices; they'll only be used to validate your identity.
Details of the background check will not be visible or shared with offices. Offices will only see the green icon below when the background check returns as CLEAR.

What if my background check does not come back as CLEAR?
If your background check is not returned as CLEAR, your profile will be disapproved and future bookings will be cancelled.
What if I don’t complete the background check or upload my photo ID by the deadline on my dashboard?
All bookings 30 days out from the deadline date will be cancelled and you will no longer be able to propose bookings. Your account will be disapproved until both the background check and photo ID have been added to your profile. Once your photo ID and background check are added to your profile, it will be reviewed within one business day for re-approval.
