Best Practice: Working Interviews

  • Schedule a professional at a specific time – This ensures clear expectations and a smooth process. It also shows respect for the professional’s time and availability.

  • Book a minimum of 4 hours – A working interview allows both the employer and the professional to assess fit. Four hours provides enough time for the professional to showcase their skills in a real work setting and for the employer to evaluate their abilities without rushing the process.

This approach helps create a fair and productive experience for both parties.

Cloud Dentistry is a great way for dental offices to conduct interviews with professionals. Here are a few examples of best practices:

Set up an in-person interview via direct message

  • Send a direct message to a professional and ask if they’d be open to an interview

  • Be sure to determine an agreed-upon date and method (call or in person)

  • If the interview is to be conducted via phone, be sure to provide the phone number of the office for the professional to contact.

  • Professionals are advised to not provide their direct contact information to maintain all communication on the Cloud platform for their security. Offices should not request contact information from professionals for this reason.

Ask the professional to provide a resume

  • While the professional’s Cloud Dentistry profile can act as a resume, especially with a detailed background description, skill listing, and certification listing, offices can still request a formal resume via direct message. Professionals can then attach a formal resume for the office to review.

  • Professionals are advised not to provide their personal information on their resumes in order to maintain all booking activity directly on the platform.

Top Tip: Book the professional for a working interview as a temp

  • Booking the professional for a temp job is a great way to conduct a working interview in the office while also having patients seen and treated.

  • This will benefit both your office and the professional, as it will help determine whether their skill set and personality are fit for a permanent or longer-term position.

  • Working interviews can be a few hours or a full day of patients!
