Cloud Dentistry offers free continuing education (CE) courses for all professionals. Here are some common FAQs for our CE program:
How do I register for an upcoming Continuing Education course?
To register for our free continuing education courses, log into your Cloud Dentistry profile. Click on the "Events" tab and then click "Attend" on the continuing education course you'd like to register for. You should receive a confirmation email confirming your registration, and you will also see a green square on your calendar labeled "CE."
On the day of the continuing education, log into your profile, click on the green square, and it will take you to the Zoom room for the course. Registered attendees will receive reminders 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the course, pending notification settings.
I signed up for a CE course. Will I get a reminder prior to the course?
Yes! If you have enabled text notifications, you will receive a reminder via text message 24 hours before the course and another reminder 1 hour before the course starts.
Are continuing education courses free to attend?
Yes, Cloud Dentistry is committed to providing free continuing education courses for all dental professionals. All courses offered on the platform are free to attend.
How can I download my continuing education certificate?
After you've attended your continuing education course and your attendance was verified through our Zoom reports, you will receive an email to download your certificate typically 5-7 days after your course.
Before clicking on the link provided in the email you'll receive, please read the following instructions:
You only have one attempt. Complete in one sitting.
Please download and save your certificate when you complete the evaluation, as your email address will only give you access to the certificate one time.
When asked for your email address, enter the email address where you received this email.
Enter your first and last name as it appears on your practicing license.
You will be able to download your certificate as soon as you complete the questions. We recommend using a desktop or laptop so you can download the certificate.
It's been more than 5-7 days, and I still haven't received my CE certificate. What can I do?
First, be sure to check your spam folder, as our emails will sometimes go there. You should have received an email at the address associated with your Cloud Dentistry account. If you still do not see an email and it has been more than 5-7 days, please contact our team via the chat box feature so they can further assist you.
"Missing Parameter" error when attempting to download my continuing education certificate.
If you are receiving this error, it may indicate a browser issue when trying to download your certificate on a mobile device, such as an iPhone or Android. For best results, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer.
If the issue persists, please let us know in the chat box to request a certificate link that may help you bypass the error.
Upon entering my email to download my certificate, I am receiving an "Email not recognized" error.
If your email is not recognized, it may mean that you have already downloaded the certificate in the past, as your email grants you one-time access to your certificate. To resolve this issue, please leave your first and last name below as you would like it to appear on your certificate. We will request to have your email re-added to the course and will email you the certificate when it's ready in 5-7 days.
Why can't I register for a specific continuing education course?
Each continuing education course is designed for a specific audience. Depending on the type of profile you have (e.g., Front Office, Dental Assistant, RDH, DDS, Student) you may only see and be able to register for courses relevant to your profile. If you'd like to attend a course that is not listed under your profile type, please reach out to the team via the chat box feature, and they can manually register you for the course.
Can I rewatch a continuing education course through a recorded version?
All of our continuing education courses are live and take place in real-time. Unfortunately, our continuing education courses are not recorded or available to watch at a later time.
Does my state accept this continuing education certificate for licensure?
Cloud Dentistry partners with Dental Hygiene Spark and Advanced Dental Hygiene, both of which are nationally approved PACE providers through the Academy of General Dentistry. However, it is the responsibility of each individual to verify with their state dental board whether the course is accepted for licensure. We recommend checking your specific state’s requirements and approved providers to ensure the certificate is valid for licensure.
I can't log in to watch a continuing education course.
If you need immediate assistance joining a continuing education course that is starting soon, please let us know in the chat box, and we will provide the Zoom link for you to join within a few minutes.
How long will it take to get my continuing education certificate?
Your attendance will be verified using our Zoom reports. To receive your certification, you must have:
Attended at least 90% of the course.
Have an activated Cloud Dentistry profile.
To activate your profile, complete the "Activate Profile" section when you log into your account. If you do not see an "Activate Profile" section on your profile, that means you are already activated.
Receiving your Certificate of Completion: It typically takes 5-7 days after the course is completed for you to receive an email with instructions and a link to download your continuing education certificate. Follow the instructions in that email to complete the course evaluation and download your certificate.
Alternatively, you can log into your profile and click on the "Events" tab. Then, go to "Attended," find the course you participated in, and if your certificate is available, you will see a blue box that says "Download Certificate." Click this box to download your certificate. Remember, you only have one chance to download it, so be sure to save your certificate in a safe location.
