Late cancellations or no-shows can be excused on Cloud Dentistry if you provide valid documentation that meets the platform's requirements. This guide explains the types of acceptable documentation, submission methods, and outcomes of submitting documentation.

Documentation Types

Professionals have the right to provide documentation to excuse any adverse action taken against them.

  • Illness

  • Death in the family

  • Accident

  • Inclement Weather

  • Other major incidents or disasters not mentioned

Approved Documentation:

Documentation MUST be provided within 30 days of the offense or reported absence.

Documentation MUST be dated and/or timestamped from the following sources:

  • Hospital / Dr Office letter

  • Car repair/insurance repair/tow receipt

  • Police Report

  • Weather alerts

  • Funeral information

Unapproved Documentation:

  • Pictures of car accidents / flat tires

  • Pictures of medical issues provided by the professional

  • Fraudulent/forged documentation

Submission Method

Visit your account Dashboard and click "Send Documentation." This creates a message within your app directly to our Member Services team. Please ensure your documentation is attached to your message, along with any communication regarding the absence.

Outcomes of Documentation Submission

Once your documentation is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Account Resolutions team. If approved:

  • The late cancellation or no-show will be excused.

  • Penalties, such as performance score deductions, will not apply.

  • Account Suspension is shortened, or waived entirely

If your documentation does not meet the requirements, penalties may still apply. Ensure your submission is clear, complete, and dated.

  • Can I submit documentation for a family member’s medical emergency? Yes, documentation such as a family member’s doctor’s note can be submitted. This includes children, parents, or persons you are the sole caretaker for.

  • What if I don’t have a doctor’s note? Alternative documentation, such as pharmacy receipts or proof of emergency, may be accepted.

  • Can I submit a picture or PDF of my documentation? Yes, clear pictures or PDFs are acceptable.
